About The Platform

Built for MSFS pilots who care about the touchdown, not just the landing.

BeatMyLand.ing is a community landing tracker and competitive leaderboard for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. It records landing telemetry from a Windows agent, turns that data into readable scoring, and gives pilots a place to compare approaches, airports, aircraft, and consistency over time.

The project is made by CraigyBabyJ for flight sim players who want more feedback than a single touchdown-rate number. A landing can be soft and still untidy, or firm and well controlled. BeatMyLand.ing looks at the wider landing picture: touchdown rate, G-load, bounce, runway alignment, centreline accuracy, wind, slope, aircraft context, and repeat performance.

Public pages show recent landings, pilot profiles, airport pages, world-map views, and leaderboards. Account features let linked pilots review their own landing history, build a profile, track progress, and take part in community competition. The blog adds original MSFS landing guides, product updates, aircraft notes, and simulator news written for pilots using the site.

Telemetry First

Landings are scored from submitted simulator data rather than screenshots, memory, or manually entered claims.

Community Scores

Leaderboards and pilot profiles help simmers compare clean approaches and learn from real landing patterns.

Clear Guidance

Help pages and articles explain setup, scoring, replays, aircraft behaviour, crosswinds, and practical landing technique.

Why it exists

Most flight simmers judge a landing by the touchdown-rate number that pops up after the wheels are down — and that single figure hides a lot. You can grease a -50 FPM arrival while drifting off the centreline, crabbing into a crosswind, and floating halfway down the runway. BeatMyLand.ing started from the idea that a landing deserves a fuller, fairer report: capture what actually happened at the moment of contact, score it consistently across every aircraft and airport, and let pilots compete and improve on that basis rather than on a screenshot or an honour-system claim.

What you can do here

  • Install the Windows telemetry agent and have every MSFS landing scored and uploaded automatically.
  • Track your full landing history, build a pilot profile, and watch your consistency improve over time.
  • Compete on global leaderboards for the cleanest, best-controlled touchdowns.
  • Explore per-airport pages, recent community arrivals, and a live world map of landing activity.
  • Read original MSFS landing guides on the blog covering technique, specific aircraft, crosswinds, and the scoring model itself.

Everything is built around a simple principle: scores should come from real simulator telemetry, so the leaderboard reflects flying, not bragging.

BeatMyLand.ing is independent, community-run, and focused on flight simulation entertainment and learning. It is not affiliated with Microsoft, Asobo, aircraft developers, or airport scenery developers unless explicitly stated.
